Nash Partnership was established in 1988 by Senior Partner Edward Nash, building on his previous experience in private architectural practice and as a conservation officer. He was joined in 1990 by partner Joe Cunningham from London practice, bringing to Nash Partnership complimentary design management skills and knowledge of commercial development which allowed the practice to grow steadily, developing a core of skilled and experienced senior personnel who have become the backbone to the design team structure.
The partnership developed from a pure design practice to a multi-disciplinary consultancy through the introduction first of a dedicated planning team and then further staff from both public and private sectors whose specialist expertise encompassed the skills needed to deliver holistic design management services. These staff included architects, planners, urban designers, construction management specialists, sustainable designers, researchers and human and economic geographers.
The tragic loss of Joe Cunningham in 2009 at a time of national economic upheaval galvanised the team's resolution to progress the initiatives he and Edward had conceived for the future of Nash Partnership. The next stage of this development is now firmly established with the foundation of the new Partnership between Edward and Technical Director Robert Locke.
With a diverse yet complimentary team of professionals Nash Partnership is now uniquely positioned to offer clients a full service focused at creating exciting and viable schemes for sites and buildings in areas challenged by social, economic and cultural decline.
