On this site a large retirement village complex with specialist apartments, communal facilities, and a nursing home will run alongside a Local Authority care home.
There are all sorts of practical management reasons why such schemes tend to be quite large, catering for in excess of 100 residents. Our role as expert witnesses was to demonstrate that these buildings were necessary to bring these facilities together, and that they could be successfully designed and integrated within the existing housing pattern – enhancing urban character and fostering a sense of community through careful design.
