We’re pleased to be taking part in Great Big Green Week – the UK’s biggest call to action on climate change – and we’re looking forward to holding a week full of events and activities to celebrate.
Among other events, we’re excited to hear from Dr Natasha Watson (Buro Happold) who’s holding a lunchtime CPD for us on “Net Zero Carbon – Embodied Carbon’s Role”, and from Ian MacCarthy from Timber Innovations on “How green (or deep green) can timber solutions become?” Timber Innovations manufactured the timber for our Grove House project, which has been shortlisted in the ‘Sustainability’ category of the Bath Property Awards.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming Jane Fowles (Novell Tullett) to talk about Biodiversity Net Gain, and our own Amanda Taylor will be looking at the ‘green’ credentials of the Housing Design Awards winners.
We’ve also launched a photo competition for our team members on the theme of ‘timber in buildings’, so watch this space as we announce the winners.
As consultants who assist in shaping the world around us, we take the pressing issues of climate change, biodiversity, equality, social value and wellbeing seriously,. This is why we’re joining thousands of people to come together and get involved in Great Big Green Week.
