We were over the moon to bring home not one but two awards from this year’s SW Residential Property Awards event:
- Our planning team was named ‘Consultancy/Advisory Team of the Year’ for their great work in unlocking a range of sites for clients by securing a string of consents. Selecting us from a shortlist of four, the judges praised our “good vision for the future of the firm, alongside an extremely diverse range of projects.”
- With Somerset Council and EQUANS, Phase A of the North Taunton Woolaway project won in the ‘Affordable Housing’ category. Choosing from a shortlist of eight, the judges were impressed with the project’s “high level of community engagement throughout the scheme, alongside the impressive tenant feedback.”
Held in Exeter and hosted by Insider Media, the awards shine an annual spotlight on the best work in the region. Paul Miller and Richard Mather-Jones collected the awards on behalf of Nash Partnership and the North Taunton Woolaway project team.
It’s been a busy year for our planning consultancy. At both ends of the scale, projects included:
- Securing permission for the conversion of a rural barn to a two-bed, low-energy home
- Submission of outline plans for 980 new homes plus 250-290 student rooms and other uses on a large area of underused and semi-derelict land in Exeter.
We also welcomed Associate Planner Alexandra Egge to the team and added a prestigious new London address to our list of offices.
In Taunton, the first phase of this sensitive regeneration project to resolve the structural issues of 212 defective Woolaway homes in Taunton is now complete. Through a truly inclusive and transparent approach to engagement, Nash Partnership and Somerset Council gained the support from residents agreeing design and delivery solutions for this sensitive project – Equans continued the dialogue during the construction phase. This has resulted in a range of new low-carbon affordable houses and flats designed to suit the community’s needs.
Commenting on the win, Partner Daniel Lugsden said: “We’re really pleased to have our residential work recognised in not one but two categories at these prestigious awards. We always look at the bigger picture and bring care, creativity and capability to every project, whatever the size or scale. These awards highlight the range of great projects we’ve been involved in over the last year and we’re proud of our experienced teams behind their success.”
