This is to outline how our organisation is adapting to the constraints imposed by the COVID-19 virus pandemic. We would like you to know how to contact our team members, given that the vast majority are undertaking their project work from home as recommended by Government or as family care or health circumstances dictate.
Contacting us
All team members have the facilities they need to work from home and access the data and software available to our offices, using normal email communications. If you wish to speak to any of our staff, they can be contacted directly though our normal numbers and telephone reception. Each team member can direct such calls from their own home desks. Should you experience any difficulties in doing so, please let a project team member or your project contact know, and we will investigate.
Meetings and conferencing
We expect the offices to remain manned should any in-person meetings need to take place, or mail or deliveries received. The conference meeting rooms will remain available, but we would prefer to conference remotely, and we have a range of e-tools available for enabling this.
Project team protocols
Each of our sector teams have established internal team communication protocols and conferences to maintain the level of day-to-day contact and oversight good project running requires.
We know some of our projects will require staff to travel but we will be minimising the need for this as much as possible whilst also minimising the need for them to use public transport.
Project delivery
With the unavoidable effects of some staff being in quarantine or needing to care for their relatives, and with the recent closure of schools, some of our team may have less time available in the working week than normal. All are nevertheless working hard to continue to deliver projects to programme. We will let you know if it becomes apparent there will be delays to the programmes they have been working to with you.
Present circumstances are a big test for the resilience of all organisations in the built environment. But we look forward to sharing the lessons we might learn for the way we live beyond this present crisis.
