Looking forward to Americana Fest! (1-3 July)

27 May 2022

It’s no secret that we’ve worked with American Museum & Gardens for more than 20 years. From extending the café to improving access, and from converting the coach house to designing pavilions for the new gardens: we’re proud to have worked on many exciting projects there. So we’re delighted to support the Museum’s latest venture and Bath’s newest summer festival – Americana Fest – from 1-3 July.

It promises to be a jam-packed weekend of Americana influenced music, comedy, food, classic cars and family fun, all set in the museum’s stunning hilltop location. The programme includes an all-American comedy bill, with headliner Reginald D Hunter, and a top line-up of Americana music, encompassing folk, country, blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll. Headliners include Ethan Johns’ Black Eyed Dogs and The Magic Numbers. You can see the full line-up here.

There will be four stages across the estate – main stage, amphitheatre stage, stone circle, and homegrown stage which will showcase local, emerging musicians. The festival will also offer a variety of entertaining family activities, including a scavenger hunt through the grounds, games, workshops, vintage cars, and American food trucks and bars.

Over the years, our services for the Museum have included planning, conservation advice, project management and construction design/delivery. Commenting on our backing of the event, Partner Daniel Lugsden said: “The Museum is a popular local attraction, a registered charity and a valued client. It’s in a Grade I listed building and we’re very proud of the work we’ve done there, so we’re really pleased to support this unique event. We all love a good summer festival and we can’t wait for this one on our doorstep here in Bath! It’s an exciting offer for the city, in a beautiful setting with spectacular views, and we’re pleased to be involved.”

We hope to see you there!
