Our construction delivery team has been working on a couple of residential developments in Bath where the homes are now on the market:
Walcot Yard. This development for Bath-based developer Kersfield brings eight new three-bedroom houses to the market, which includes one that has sold already.
The site presented a number of technical and logistical challenges for our planning and design teams. It also falls within the setting of a number of listed buildings and a conservation area as well as an archaeological zone. However, a thorough assessment of every issue meant our proposals for a new scheme were approved – a scheme which responds to the site’s constraints as well as its qualities. Final designs consider the contribution of the new buildings in their context, responding to the site’s surroundings as well as its past. The project is due to complete this month.
Beckford Gate. Our planning and design teams assisted Kersfield and MEO Projects in creating four stunning new apartments over four floors of this Georgian-style villa in Lansdown. The development also includes a roof terrace to the penthouse.
The site, which commands far-reaching views across Bath, has the Grade II listed Beckford Gate (also known as The Embattled Gateway) standing at its southern boundary. The development comprises two large lateral apartments and two maisonettes and construction work completed there last month.
