Nash Partnership is pleased to have secured reserved matters approval for 48 new affordable homes in Oldland Common on behalf of Countryside Partnerships and Alliance Homes.
Located to the east of the A4175 (Barry Road), the Chief Trading Post site previously contained horticultural buildings which were put into mixed retail use and most have since been demolished. Developing the site offers the chance to create an attractive new scheme with landscaping while enhancing existing native species boundaries.
The development will also open up the site for the whole community by creating a publicly accessible open space, wildlife haven and children’s play area. Biodiversity on the site will be improved, with a BNG assessment achieving in excess of the standard 10% requirement. In addition to consulting with the community, discussions were undertaken with local councillors and other stakeholders to help evolve the designs.
All 48 homes will be affordable and operated by Alliance.
