We’re delighted to be one of the founding signatories of the UK’s first city-wide property inclusion charter – the Bristol Property Inclusion Charter.
Led by Karl Brown from law firm Clarke Willmott, the initiative aims to promote and drive diversity and inclusion in the Bristol property industry/sector. Each signatory will strive to achieve seven objectives.
Speaking about the initiative, the charter’s founder Karl Brown said: “I founded the charter because I believe that the fantastic opportunities in the property industry in Bristol should be available to all persons regardless of their background and that the Bristol property industry will be enhanced and enriched by such diversity.”
Commenting on Nash Partnership’s involvement, Planning Director Mike Fox said: “As an organisation, we are committed to the positive promotion of inclusion in all aspects of what we do. We recognise the importance of such positive action in creating a diverse and balanced workforce which reflects the society in which we work. With a significant proportion of our work in the South West, we are pleased to encourage and collaborate with other local business to try to achieve a fully inclusive property industry in Bristol.”
The charter is being formally launched at an event on 12 November, when attendees will have the chance to hear from founder Karl Brown, Peaches Golding OBE (Lord Lieutenant for the County and City of Bristol) and Jamie Siggers, Chairman of the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE).
