Enabling growth around Bristol’s Enterprise Zone

In the heart of Bristol is one of the UK’s largest urban regeneration projects – the 70ha Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. Enterprise zones are a government initiative to drive local growth and create jobs. They are places for new and expanding firms to grow and do business while offering benefits for local communities and the economy. So it’s fitting that our work has helped new leisure client Freedog to expand by opening new premises adjacent to the zone and could create up to 65 new jobs.

The development at Temple Gate Business Park involved the change of use of a vacant 2,850m² industrial unit to a trampoline centre. After our team secured planning permission, the unit was quickly transformed to include the trampoline park as well as a café and viewing area. Sustainability considerations played an important part in our proposals.

The development creates skilled jobs in the area, supports the local economy and provides local people with an alternative and enjoyable form of exercise. The development reinforces the role of the adjacent enterprise zone and the Arena site as a major leisure destination, and we look forward to seeing our client’s new offer thrive.
