Grosvenor House

27 November 2025

We are welcoming feedback on the plans by property investors Bathford Partners to convert Grosvenor House in Bath from office use to student accommodation.

Proposals include introducing 99 student bedrooms at Grosvenor House, comprising three-, four-, five-, and six-bedroom cluster flats and duplexes for second, third, fourth year and post-graduate students.

The scheme is equivalent to 25 four-bed houses and will contribute to housing supply in the local area. The format of the design targets student groups who would otherwise take up private properties in the local community. The scheme will seek to retrofit the building to substantially reduce its operational carbon footprint, while the landscaping proposals will introduce more green space to enhance The Square.

You can view the full consultation boards here and submit your feedback here (by 17.30 on Thursday 4th December), or use the scrollable comment form below. If the form below doesn’t display correctly, please paste this link into your browser.

All comments received will be considered before the detailed design proposals are developed.

Thank you to everyone who attended the public consultation event on 27 November, where representatives from Bathford Partners and consultants Nash Partnership enjoyed meeting the local community and answering questions.
